1969's The Band is one of the most influential albums of all time. The album was recorded in Woodstock, New York and features songs written by Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson. "The Band" celebrates 50 years On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the classic album, The Band's eponymous album will be available again in 2019 in various formats. "The Band" is the second album by the Canadian rock legends, released on September 22, 1969 and charted at number nine on the US charts. Now this milestone album returns as a double CD, double LP and as a limited edition with two CDs, Blu-ray audio, double LP and bonus 7" single. And it comes with everything: a new stereo mix of the album by Bob Clearmountain awaits you on the first CD and double LP. The first CD also includes six previously unreleased bonus tracks. The second disc features seven studio bonus tracks, in addition to the "Live at Woodstock" recording, which were released back in 2000. The sound on the Blu-ray shines thanks to the 5.1 surround sound and stereo mix of the album. Six bonus tracks are also included in 5.1 surround sound. The double LP "The Band" box set also includes a new stereo mix, and the 7" single features the songs "Rag Mama Rag" and "The Unfaithful Servant". The double LP version, which is also available, includes a new stereo mix, the double CD version matches the first and second discs of the limited edition.
